James Smits

President

James Smits is the founder and President of Interface H2O. He is a passionate educator and is dedicated to efforts that showcase the importance of green infrastructure in public and private development across the Midwest. He works with engineers, architects, and government officials to solve existing water issues and provide customized solutions for new developments. He has a deep appreciation and respect for the natural environment, and is devoted to supporting water-related environmental causes locally and internationally.

James is an expert in finding and implementing the right sustainable infrastructure solution for your project.

He is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, Michigan and is a member of the International Erosion Control Association (IECA), Macatawa Area Coordinating Council (MACC), and Michigan Water Environment Association (MWEA).

Kerri-Sue Smits

Administrator

At Interface H₂O, Kerri-Sue builds relationships with clients and implements management practices for our company. Kerri-Sue developed a passion for sustainability while studying science at Hope College and manages our participation in events like the Macatawa Water Festival.

Kerri-Sue is dedicated to to building awareness around alternative solutions to excess stormwater and educating our community on green infrastructure.

Kerri-Sue serves on the Laketown Counseling Centers Board.
